HHS building in the capital evacuated after a bomb threat was reported

A building housing the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C., was evacuated Wednesday morning after a report of a bomb threat.

“This morning, a bomb threat was received in the Humphrey Building. Out of great caution, we have evacuated the building and no incident has been reported,” Sarah Lowenheim, Assistant Secretary of HHS Public Affairs, said in a statement. hill.

“We are monitoring the situation closely with the Federal Protection Service,” she added.
