Alexis Sanchez gave the Inter Milan captains a difficult decision to make after his stunning display against Empoli last night.
Inter were considering getting rid of the Chilean winger before providing a superb assist to teammate Danilo D’Ambrosio in their 2-0 win over Empoli.
However, after the former Manchester United masters contributed to the game, the Nerazzurri are said to have other ideas about letting him go, Simprinter mentioned.
Inter assistant coach Massimiliano Varese, who took charge of the match as coach Simone Inzaghi was serving a suspension on the touchline, spoke about Sanchez’s talents after the match.
He said, “Alexis has that creativity, that magical moment, you just have to see the assist for D’Ambrosio’s goal.”
Sanchez has struggled to join Inter’s first team this season, but he still costs the Italians £5.9m in wages which is one of the main reasons they dumped him in January.
Everton are said to be interested in getting Sanchez out of Inter’s hands as they look to bolster their attacking options.
According to Inter Live, coach Rafael Benitez is a fan of Sanchez and would like to add to his depleted squad.

They believe that Everton will offer striker Cenk Tosun in exchange for the striker.
But Everton’s initial proposal could be rejected, with Inter preferring a cash deal over a player exchange.
And it seems Sanchez is ready to walk away from the Scudetto champions after he posted a mysterious post on social media alluding to his exit.
“I realize you can be worth a lot,” he wrote, “but if you’re in the wrong place, you won’t shine,” under a neglected Lamborghini in the sand.
However, Everton may have to battle the Spanish trio of Valencia, Real Betis and Rayo Vallecano who are also said to be interested in Sanchez.
