Good morning Arsenal fans

Arsenal will be in cloud ninth if they avoid defeat against Leicester on Saturday.

Gunners legend Ray Parlor believes their eight-game undefeated streak is largely due to three iconic defenders.

He bought former English midfielders in the transfer window, Aaron Ramsdale and Ben White, as well as Brazilian Gabriel Magalhaes.

Gabriel Magalhaes, Aaron Ramsdale and Ben White to help make Arsenal more solid defensively.

“It’s a test against Leicester this weekend so they have to show their strength a little bit,” Parlor told TalkSPORT.

“I’m really happy with the quadruple at the moment. I think the two central defenders made a big difference.

“If you can keep these guys fit and keep fit at the back, they look a lot more solid.” Meanwhile, midfielder Matteo Guendouzi’s loan spell to Marseille could turn up to £9.5m next summer.

But another loanee from the French club is tempted to return and become one of Brem’s main assets.

Former Arsenal midfielder Sami Nasri believes 20-year-old William Saliba has “all the qualities” required – notably physical presence, movement and passing.

Finally, former Arsenal winger Marc Overmars is reported to be ready to accept Newcastle’s offer to become director of football.
