Cristiano Ronaldo’s passionate mom was one of the first to congratulate him on the news of his baby boy today.
Minutes after the Manchester United striker announced to the world that his partner Georgina Rodriguez is pregnant with twins, Dolores Aveiro wrote on Instagram: “Let my grandchildren be born healthy. That is what matters most.”
The 66-year-old, who suffered a life-threatening stroke last year, posted the twins’ ultrasound on her Instagram Story around the same time with a clapping emoji.
The footballer’s two sisters have yet to respond on social media, although earlier in the day Katia Aveiro showed her two children are big fans by posting snaps of them playing football with their uncle’s number 7 Man United shirt.
Georgina’s older sister Ivana, who confirmed in July that she was expecting her first child with partner painter and sculptor Carlos Garcia, also congratulated the footballer and his partner by writing to Cristiano and her brother on Instagram in Spanish: “Congratulations, family.”
Ivana, the daughter of a former Argentine footballer and a Spanish mother believed to live in Catalonia, revealed her own happy news to the world through an Instagram post filmed on a beach in the northern Spanish town of Gijon where they live and wrote the words. “Baby is coming” using gravel and sand.
“I love you,” she told her partner Carlos Garcia in a message along the homemade tape, describing the news as the miracle and surprise of her life.
She went on to post a selfie on the same beach with the father of the unborn child on the same beach, writing, “The miracle of life. We’re waiting for you baby” in Spanish before adding in English: “We’re waiting…our little angel.”

The news of Cristiano and little Georgina is bound to fuel more speculation that the couple will tie the knot now.
The stunning brunette admitted in a Netflix documentary that went live that she would join in her desire to marry her soccer star boyfriend and would say “yes” when he proposed to her.
The beautiful 27-year-old, who has a three-year-old daughter with the Portuguese and Portuguese champion and plays her mother to his three other children, makes a startling revelation during the documentary about her life.
The admission was included in a clip of the show I posted on Instagram yesterday/Sunday.
Asked in Spanish over dinner on a boat with her friends when she was about to marry a 36-year-old father she had dated since 2016 when she was earning £10 an hour working in a store in Madrid, Georgina admitted: “It doesn’t depend on me. .. .. I hope”.
The word “Ujala” was used in Spanish and is of Arabic origin, derived from the phrase “Masha Allah” which literally means “God willing” and translated into English as “we hope” or “let’s hope so.”
