Fabregas made 304 appearances for Arsenal and produced 57 goals and 96 assists before heading to Barcelona in 2011.

Three years later he returned to the Premier League with Chelsea and helped them win two titles and a League Cup before leaving for Monaco to end his career in 2019.

The star, who has also enjoyed World Cup and European Championship success with Spain, is widely regarded as one of the top talents to headline the English Premier League.

And in celebration of the anniversary of his brilliant career start, he opened up for questions about the topic on social media.

One of the first questions he was asked was who was the toughest player he faced in the 350 Premier League matches.

There was only one man on his mind when he answered – “Steven Gerrard” when he named the legendary former Liverpool captain.

Fabregas was also so popular with Arsenal fans that he was asked who was the most underrated player ever.

And he was a man who spent seven years alongside Arsene Wenger – Belarusian winger Alexander Hleb.

The 40-year-old scored seven goals in 89 league games for the north London side over a three-year period before heading to Barcelona in 2008.

Fabregas previously admitted he was the man who threw pizza at Sir Alex Ferguson during the infamous ‘buffet battle’ at Old Trafford in October 2004.

Arsenal headed to Manchester United looking to extend their impressive winning streak to 50 but lost the poor showdown 2-0 thanks to Ruud van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney.

The match will always be famous for what happened next as players headed to the tunnel as a brawl broke out and the police had to step in.

During the melee a slice of pizza was thrown at Fergie – which Fabregas previously mentioned was pepperoni.

However, he had a memory or finally admitted the truth – revealing the chip was actually topped with tuna.
