Now, the striker, who is eyeing a big move to Real Madrid at the end of the season when his contract expires, has revealed Olympic gold on his priority list as well.

Mbappe was first drawn to the London Games as a child, and after being denied the chance to go to Tokyo this summer with teammate Neymar, he is desperate not to miss the opportunity next time.

These games will be in France, the centenary in Paris. It’s not the biggest football competition, but you have to play games in your career.

“For Tokyo 2020, I wanted to participate. It was my goal. But they quickly pulled the rug out from under my feet.”
