
Huey Ha, the Stockton, California-based comedian known for posting short video sketches, has passed away, according to a post on his Instagram account.
He was 22 years old. Ha, who went through Huey Haha online, passed away on October 25. The cause of his death was not immediately disclosed.
“Rest in peace to Huey Ha,” the Instagram post read. “He has loved and appreciated each and every one of his supporters.”
The post also shared a GoFundMe for Ha’s funeral costs, which as of Thursday morning had raised more than $33,000.
On Thursday, some of Ha’s 300,000 followers on Instagram expressed their disbelief after learning of his death.
Live coach and Instagram personality Nicole Mitchell wrote, “I’m so sad that you’re gone. It was great to meet and shoot together before you passed away. Your legacy will live on.”
Coby Jdn, Ha’s friend who organized GoFundMe, also shared a tribute to the late comedian.
“We’ve always hated comedy because all people see is laughter, not what we’re doing or going through,” Geden wrote on Instagram. “They have already taken the fun out of comedy but now it wouldn’t be the same without you. We love you brother. See you in the future.”
Rapper Mozy posted on Instagram to say that he will cover her funeral costs. A Mozzy spokesperson did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment.
“Appreciate all the gangs—u contributed to the culture!!! You can cancel the car wash ima push 4! Get comfortable guys!!!” banana wrote on Instagram.
Ha is survived by his princess daughter.
