Agbonlahor: West Ham are bigger than Arsenal and Tottenham and only behind Chelsea in London.

WEST HAM is the biggest club in London if you take Chelsea out of the mix, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.

The former Aston Villa star believes that not even his big London teammates Arsenal or Tottenham can take on the East London side at the moment.

The Hammers have long been servants in the capital, but Agbonlahor says the tide has turned under their current boss, David Moyes.

And he might have a point because Hammers finished both Tottenham and Arsenal in the Premier League last season.

Agbonlahor believes Moyes’s side is flying high in the Europa League, leading their group with three wins in the most matches, proving his thesis.

While making bold claims on TalkSPORTThe retired striker said: “They have a great team of players, and a great coach at the moment.

“You’re looking at a team that will continue to get into the European places.

“Aside from Chelsea, for me, they are the biggest club in London.”

But to stay on Chelsea’s heels, Agbonlahor feels the Hammers need to hang on to Declan Rice, who has been on Manchester United’s radar, and in-form striker Michael Antonio, now the Premier League’s third top scorer.

And if they can keep their prizes, the Hammers can start the challenge for a place in the Champions League in the top division of English football.

“But they have to hold on to Price, hold on to Antonio, and add more players to their squad, why can’t they start looking at the top four?” added Agbonlauer.

Hammers are already aiming to outdo both Tottenham and Arsenal by owning the biggest stadium out of the trio.

They were given permission to add an additional 2,500 seats to the 60,000-capacity London Stadium earlier this week, in a move that would see them surpass Arsenal’s 62,062 capacity.

But West Ham doesn’t stop there and has already been wheeling the wheels to expand its new capacity to 67,000, which will go for the White Hart Lane seat customization from Gazomb’s 62,850.

The Hammers could also soon get a huge cash boost as it was announced yesterday that Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky is in advanced talks to buy a 27 per cent stake in the club.

Judging by the Hammers position at the moment, Agbonlahor claims Kretinsky had the right idea because he would have been investing in the club as well if he was swimming in the billions.

He added, “If I were a billionaire, I would think of the club in the perfect place, right?”
