What are discord stickers?
Stickers are a cross between emojis and GIFs. It is a large picture, often in a cartoon style, that expresses something.
The concept of stickers is nothing new. Messaging apps like iMessage and WhatsApp have offered stickers for years.
How to use discord stickers
To use Discord stickers, select File sticker icon from the message field. It’s in the same section as a file emoji And GIF icons.
This will open the sticker interface. On the left is a list of all the servers you have stickers to use. The main part displays the stickers. To send a sticker in the chat, just click on it.
You can only use stickers from one server on another if you have Discord Nitro (not Nitro Classic). The same applies to direct messages. If you are a free Discord user, you can only use the stickers on the server that hosts them.
Discord Nitro members also get access to 300 special stickers designed by the Discord team.
If you run a server, you can’t stop people from using stickers. However, if you do not want stickers from other servers used in your server, you can disable Use emojis and external stickers So.
How to add discord stickers
If you want to add custom stickers to Discord, you will need to set up your own Discord server or get permissions in someone else’s server.
This server must also be at Boost level. Boosts are a way to pay for adding new features to a server. That’s right, adding custom stickers costs money.
The higher the server boost level, the more custom stickers you can upload:
- Level 1: 15 stickers
- Level 2: 30 stickers
- Level 3: 60 stickers
If the server drops a level, you will lose access to the stickers that occupy those extra slots.
You can only add and manage server stickers on the desktop — Android and iOS are not supported.
To add stickers to the server:

Go to the server.

From the left menu, tap attachments.

If your server is at a high enough level, click Download poster.
