A gun panic caused flights at Los Angeles Airport to be halted briefly, prompting 300 passengers to flee the terminal

Authorities said a report of a person with a gun prompted hundreds to flee a terminal at Los Angeles International Airport and briefly ground flights Thursday night.

According to LAX’s tweet, no shots were fired and no gun was found, but two people were arrested for questioning.

Airport officials said about 300 people were “self-evacuated” from Terminal 1 to the airport after the Venice report at around 7:30 p.m.

News reports showed dozens of people lined up in front of a wall near a taxi lane.

Lacks reported that in the stampede to leave, two people were slightly to moderately injured and one was sent to hospital.

There was no immediate news of their condition.

The FAA issued a ground halt for flights but they were allowed to resume within two hours.
