Jose Mourinho is eyeing Manchester United defenders Diogo Dalot and Victor Lindelof.
The Roma coach is tempted to lure his old club with a loan offer for Portugal right-back Dalot and has offered Lindelof the mainstay in Sweden.
Dalot, 22, is reported to be frustrated with his failure to win a regular spot at Old Trafford since arriving from Porto three years ago.
Center back Lindelof, 27, is likely to lose his starting place again soon as Raphael Varane quickly recovers from a groin injury.
Mourinho considers defense to be Roma’s biggest weakness.
They have only conceded ten goals in ten Serie A matches and are fourth.
But shock waves spread across the footballing world last Thursday when Norwegians Bodu/Glimt beat them 6-1 in the European Conference League.
Now an Italian outlet El Romanista, naming Mourinho’s compatriot Dalot as a main target.
The former Chelsea boss appears to have revised his opinion on Lindelof.

Only last season Mourinho claimed the former Benfica star could be “intimidated” in aerial challenges.
But Lindelof is now linked with following Chris Smalling from Old Trafford to the Olympic Stadium.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will certainly be reluctant to risk emptying his primary reserve man in favor of Varane and Harry Maguire.
But fellow central defender Eric Bailly was also said to be unhappy with facing more for match time this season.
Varane could even return to Spurs on Saturday after Lindelof and Co ripped 5-0 against Liverpool last Sunday.
The French superstar has surprisingly returned to training this week after injuring himself in a 2-1 victory over Spain in the Nations League final on October 10.
