Kansas school condemns ‘unicorn sex’ worksheet

A Kansas school has apologized for a “Gender Unicorn” worksheet given to students after hearing it from angry parents.

The post asked Olathe High School students about their gender identities and the gender they are attracted to, According to The Kansas City Star.

Do you know your identity or are you still in the identity confusion stage? Give me three reasons why you might or might not verify your identity,” the worksheet reportedly asked of teens in the Human Growth and Development class.

State Representative Adam Thomas was one parent who disagreed with the flow chart, which was Created and paid for by Trans Student Educational Resources.

“Let the kids be the kids,” the Republican reportedly said. “Those who decide should be fine, but the classroom is not the place to push this ideology on them. This is at home with their family or the school counselor.”

School officials reportedly said they were making sure the sheet was not distributed to any other classrooms and not used for any instructions going forward.

“This worksheet was not appropriate for the students and they asked questions that could violate their personal privacy rights. Students who received the worksheet were asked not to complete it.”
