Reports suggest that Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly is ready to join Manchester City.
Koulibaly has been linked with a move to Europe’s biggest hitter since 2014 when he appeared on the scene at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Juventus were among the many candidates but the defender refuses to join a Serie A rival due to his loyalty to Napoli and will only consider three major clubs.
These are Real Madrid, Barcelona and City, the English Premier League champions.
Italian journalist Walter Di Maggio quoted Coulibaly via Arena Naples, saying: “Coulibaly answered me like this: ‘I’m at Juventus? are you crazy ?! I will not go and play for another Italian team.
“If I decide to leave Napoli, I will only do it with two or three clubs in the world.
“‘I’m talking about [Pep] Guardiola, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona at most.
“But believe me: I would never go to Juventus: I could not betray the Napoli fans.”
“From these words, you can understand the value of the Coulibaly man.”

Koulibaly has also been linked with moves to Manchester United and Liverpool over the years.
But United signed Raphael Varane from Real Madrid in the summer and Liverpool acquired former Leipzig star Ibrahima Konate.
City is also filled with a center back division with the likes of Joh Stones, Robin Dias, Aymeric Laporte and Nathan Ake.
Real and Barcelona are in desperate need of such a player, but the Senegal international has now reached the age of 30.
