Steve Bruce was seen for the first time since his dismissal of Newcastle in the most unlikely of places.
Former Tone coach enjoyed a day out at cricket in Dubai while watching England beat Australia.

The Bruce were sacked by new Newcastle owners earlier this month after Saudi Arabia’s £300m takeover of the club.
The 60-year-old has traveled to the Middle East to unwind after the end of his last managerial position.
His son Alex, who plays for Macclesfield, posted a picture of the two watching cricket in Dubai.
The caption read: “What a great day, Dad and boy’s day out. Well done England and thanks for the tickets Jonny Birstow.”
Bruces had a happy evening as England beat rivals Australia in the T20 World Cup.
Gus Butler hit 71 Las from just 32 balls – including five six – as England won eight wickets with 50 balls remaining.
Captain Ewen Morgan likened Butler’s roles to Hurricane 116 who didn’t make it from 52 balls against Pakistan on the same ground in 2016.

Morgan said: “There was a game we were talking about while Gus was going bananas there – those innings in 2016 when he hit his 100 off 40 ball against Pakistan.
“It was very similar, once again it seemed to hit the middle of the bat over and over again.
“He’s obviously one of the best players in the world, and when he comes around like today, it’s very difficult to stop him.”
Morgan thinks Butler is so good that it’s changing the way cricket is played.

“He’s definitely one of our players – and there are a few – who are at the forefront of changing the game,” Morgan explained.
“He is one of the best players in the world but he is still trying to improve his performance and get better. When you have players who are making positive changes to the game, it tells them a lot.
“It was a very convincing win. You expect a really tough game against Australia, but I thought we threw the ball and played brilliantly, creating chances and putting Australia under pressure.
“And Chris Wox was excellent again. He is one of the best bowlers in white ball cricket in the world – accurate, confident in his skills and high pace.”
