One person was reported to have been killed and three others injured when gunfire erupted at a lawmaker’s party in California.
Gilroy City Councilor Rebecca Arminaris was hosting a large outdoor party when someone opened fire around 1 a.m. on Saturday, According to NBC News.
The article said two survivors were seriously injured.
“We are fully cooperating with the Gilroy Police Department on this investigation,” the Democrat said in a statement to NBC affiliate network.
“Our primary concern is for the affected individuals and their families. We hope that the Gilroy community will gather love and support for those affected by yesterday’s events in time.”
It is unclear what led to the shooting, although reports have stated that it may have occurred after an argument. It appears that the council member was unharmed.
