Manchester United star Marcus Rashford was “furious” at manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s decision not to start against Tottenham.
That’s according to former United player Owen Hargreaves, who claimed Rashford showed signs of frustration as he celebrated his goal during Saturday’s 3-0 win over Tottenham.
Solskjaer chose a seasoned 70-year-old attacking duo to lead the streak, and it paid off as Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani both scored against Tottenham.
The 23-year-old came off the bench in the 71st minute to replace Ronaldo and ensure the Red Devils win at Tottenham Hotspur.
Hargreaves told Premier League productions: “I think you could see that in his celebration, he was angry.
“But when you have two legends in front of you in the game, it is somewhat difficult to complain.
“Ronaldo will never fall, he needed someone else there and Cavani was fantastic last season. Maybe he deserved to start early.
“The presence of Rashford and [Mason] Greenwood to come off the bench, as much as it will hurt them, maybe right now for the balance of the team, they looked good today and Rashford will score from the bench for sure.”

Hargreaves believes United’s performance has improved significantly after last week’s 5-0 win over Liverpool at Old Trafford.
The former England international believes the Red Devils’ bid is a “big step forward” ahead of Saturday’s derby with another former club, Manchester City.
Hargreaves added: “The most important question is that they got Manchester City at Oued Trafford at the weekend.
“You’re not going to get too much of the ball and you’re going to be too deep.
“They defend with a seven and then Bruno [Fernandes]Cavani and Ronaldo. Will this work against City?
“We’ll see. But I think today was a big step forward.”
