Hilaria Baldwin fears Alec will develop PTSD after filming Halyna Hutchins

Hilaria Baldwin packed her six children into her car and drove off with no destination in mind, as soon as she heard that her husband, Alec, had accidentally shot and killed cinematographer Helena Hutchins on the set of “Rust.”

“I didn’t know where I was going, I just drove,” Baldwin told The Post Saturday during an exclusive interview in Vermont. “I’ve just been driving around and around and around the kids with my kids.”

The family was seen leaving their home in Greenwich Village on October 22, the day after the tragic shooting.

Hilaria says she drove an entire day looking for somewhere out of sight, before settling down in the ski town of Manchester, Vermont.

Alec Baldwin spoke publicly about the tragedy for the first time earlier on Saturday, with Hilaria at his side, from the side of a Vermont road.

Hilaria hoped to be able to protect her husband from the scrutiny surrounding his involvement in a fatal shooting, and she wanted to keep her children out of the glare of the media.

Hilaria fears Alec will develop PTSD after the accident that killed cinematographer Hutchins, 42, and injured director Joel Sousa, 48.

“I brought [Alec] Here because we must mourn the death of Helena. “Alec something really traumatic happened to him, and I’m trying to reduce PTSD.”

“You look at what happens to soldiers and police officers when something like this happens, it hurts. We just came here to calm down.”

When asked if Alex would act again, Hilaria was optimistic but unsure.

“He needs space for me to take care of him and his mental health,” she said. “Something horrible has happened. Alec is horrified.”

The Baldwin family is disdainful of the results of the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s investigation into the fatal shooting.

“There will be no answers until we hear the results of the investigation,” she said. “We don’t know what happened, we have the same questions everyone asks. We want answers faster than anyone else. We have to respect the authorities’ actions.”

“Alec has been making movies with guns for 40 years. Nothing like this has happened before. There should be absolutely no chance of it happening.”
