Is your Apple Watch battery dead? Here’s what you need to use to quickly charge your Apple Watch Series 7.
Apple Watch Series 7 features a larger screen and 33% faster charging speeds. Thanks to this, the smartwatch can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 45 minutes. However, you will need to follow a few steps to achieve these faster charging speeds, as your new Apple Watch will not charge fast enough using just any power adapter.
Unlike previous Apple Watch models, Apple does not bundle a power adapter with the Apple Watch Series 7, which is the root cause of this problem. The charging cable for the new smartwatch is also different from previous Apple Watch versions.
Follow the guide below to learn how to quickly charge your Apple Watch Series 7.
Apple Watch Series 7 fast charging isn’t available everywhere
Note that fast charging on Apple Watch Series 7 is not available in Argentina, India, and Vietnam. Apple has not stated why this feature is excluded in some countries. However, if you live in any of these areas, you cannot quickly charge your Apple Watch Series 7 no matter what charging equipment you use.
What you need to quickly charge your Apple Watch Series 7
To quickly charge your Apple Watch Series 7, you’ll need to use a USB-C power adapter with USB Power Delivery support and a minimum 5W power outlet. If you have a third-party power adapter that can quickly charge your iPhone 12 or iPhone 13, you can use it to quickly charge your Apple Watch Series 7 as well.
You can also use any of Apple’s USB-C power adapters to quickly charge your smartwatch, provided they provide at least 18 watts of power.
The charging cable for Apple Watch Series 7 is different from previous versions. It has a USB-C connector at one end, so you can’t use a USB-A power adapter with it. Using an older Apple Watch charging cable also won’t charge your Apple Watch Series 7 quickly.
No other third-party charger can charge the latest Apple Watch at full speed. So, for the fastest charging experience, you need to use the stock charging cable that came with your Apple Watch Series 7.
In short, you need:
-

-
USB-C power adapter supports at least 5W power delivery
-
Or a USB-C power adapter that delivers at least 18 watts.
Fast charging is the best alternative for longer battery life
Since the Apple Watch Series 7 does not offer multi-day battery life, adding fast charging is useful as you can quickly charge the smartwatch battery to last the rest of the day. Until Apple dramatically increases the battery life of the Apple Watch, faster charging speeds are the next best solution.
