Got a cool new photo that you want to show off in your social circle? Upload it to Facebook and make it your profile picture. We’ll show you how to change your current Facebook profile picture on both desktop and mobile.
When you change your Facebook profile picture, you can choose a new one either from your computer or from your phone. You can also set an existing photo or a photo you have been tagged in as your profile photo. Facebook recommends that your photo be at least 320 x 320 pixels for a high-quality look.
Noticeable: Your profile picture is visible to the public on Facebook. Make sure you are comfortable with this before changing your photo.

Change your Facebook profile picture on desktop
To change your Facebook profile picture from a Windows PC, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook, use the Facebook website.
Start by opening a web browser on your computer and start playing a file Facebook social networking site Location. In the top-right corner of the site, click on your profile icon.
On your profile page, in the lower right corner of your current profile picture, click the camera icon.
You will see the “Update Profile Picture” window. Here, to make the existing photo your profile picture, select that photo on the window. To add an image from your computer, click on the Upload Image option. We will use the latter.
Your computer’s standard file browser will open. In this window, open the folder in which your new photo is located. Then double-click that photo to upload it to Facebook.
A preview of your Facebook photo will appear. Try to fit the main area of your image in the circle using the “drag to change position” wizard. To crop your photo, click on the Crop Image option.
Finally, click on the “Save” button.
You have successfully replaced your old profile picture with a new one. Now wait for feedback on it from your friends!

Change your Facebook profile picture on mobile
If you’re on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device, use the Facebook app to change your profile picture. You can also easily Change your iCloud profile picture.
Start the Facebook app on your phone.
In the app, tap on the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines). If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, you’ll find these lines in the lower right corner of the app. If you’re on Android, you’ll see these lines in the upper-right corner.
On the Menu screen, at the top, tap Your Profile.
On your profile page, in the lower right corner of your current profile picture, click the camera icon.
A menu will open from the bottom of your phone screen. In this menu, click on “Select Profile Picture”.
Select a photo from your phone gallery or your Facebook gallery.
On the Profile Picture Preview page that opens, you can see how your new profile picture will look. To post an update you have changed your profile picture, enable the “Share your update in news feed” option.
Then finally, click “Save” in the top-right corner.
And your selected photo is now the profile picture of your Facebook account. Enjoy!
