In the still images of the new character, fans will, of course, be able to see Stewart as his classic Picard. With each set still comes a bunch of Easter eggs in the background that it would take a real Trekkie to find each one. The Star Trek News site TrekCore manages to find and share many on Twitter. Some of these Easter eggs include a promotional image of Picard and Guinan from the 1994 movie Star Trek: Generations Seen hanging on the wall behind Lancie, a poster of the 2395 Freecloud Music Festival (reference to Star Trek: Picard Season 1 can be seen behind Ryan, and behind Cabrera an addition of Saurian Brandy (a type of alcohol popular in the franchise after his debut in the original series).
There’s an even more fun Easter egg behind the Pill – the Klingon Thrush logo can be seen, whose name translates to “Sex Phasers” (a play on the Sex Pistols). We also got our first glimpse of Beverly Crusher (Gates Mcfadden) in these photos. In Brady’s photo, a framed picture of Guinan and Beverly hangs on the walls of this 10 Forward variant.
