David Moyes also attended the ceremony and received the General Manager award.

The Hammers boss previously claimed Rice’s transfer was worth £100m, but the latter called the idea “crazy”.

Talking to Evening Standard After the event, Rice said: “You hear those numbers and it’s crazy to me.

“All I can do is get out there and perform, no matter the price.

“I just need to focus on playing well and performing as well as possible.”

He added, “As a young player, I see close friends, big players winning big titles. You want to be a part of that.”

“You want to remember in this career what you won.

“I hope these moments I’m experiencing right now can motivate me to be better.”

Rice will have two years left on his summer contract, with an option to add another 12 months.
