Angry Manchester United fans allowed their team plenty of time before Cristiano Ronaldo saved them against Norwich.

The Red Devils got rid of their two-goal lead against the boys of the cellar, but they managed to reap the points thanks to the Portuguese legend.

After scoring the two first-half goals, the 37-year-old scored a hat-trick with a superb late free kick.

But the mood worsened before that magical moment after Kieran Doyle and Timo Pukki leveled it out with quick shots on either side of the break.

A large group of disgruntled Old Trafford fans began chanting: “You are not fit to wear the shirt.”

The French World Cup winner, whose contract expired in the summer, was replaced by Juan Mata on the bench moments before Ronaldo won.

Amid the toxic atmosphere, Pogba was greeted with loud cheers before being booed as he approached the touchline.

And chants of: “F*** off Pogba!”

Before kick-off, thousands of United fans could be heard singing the vile chant “Joe Glazer is going to die” as they marched through the streets demanding the owners and board leave the club.

Supporters of the Red Devils came out in force to protest, which also witnessed the continuation of a number of them outside after the start of the match.

Supporters want to see a major restructuring at the board level in an effort to start improving results on the field.

A fan said Mail: “We just want to shed light on what is happening. We want people to know that this is not a good club.

“What conversions do is drive up the stock price or attract sponsors.

“They are not footballers. We are not close. It is a mess.”
