The game, for example, could start with memories of Clive and Joshua, slowly leading to the events of the trailer. This could mean that players go back between modern and past Clive throughout the game, but if it is timed and performed well, it will help develop the player’s bonding naturally. Clive clearly has a form of PTSD, and he looks at the fire early in the trailer as if he’s remembering something. This would be a great memory stick.

Maybe when he sleeps or something, the players are taken to the current events. This will allow the past to contextualize the present and expand upon the grand reveal as players progress Final Fantasy 16, with the added advantage of making it easier for fans to enter the world.
