
There are a lot of food combinations that you may find strange. For example, I enjoy ranch dressing on baked potatoes. Lately, though, a lot of people have been adding a questionable spread to perfectly grilled cheese sandwiches, and to say it looks weird is an understatement.
Since last year, people have been putting peanut butter on their grilled cheese sandwiches in record numbers.

However, when you break down the idea, it makes more sense. Think of it as a cheese board in the shape of a sandwich.
When you picture a cheese board, it usually contains cheese (duh), fruit, and nuts: all ingredients found in PB&J grilled cheese. Basically, you combine a salty ingredient (peanut butter) with fruit (jelly) and cheese.
Do you want to try it yet? If so, add a layer of creamy peanut butter to one slice of bread, some jelly to another, and then a layer of shredded cheddar cheese to the side of the peanut butter. Melt some butter in a frying pan, add the bread slices and roast for a few minutes.
Put the pieces together, and when the cheese melts, you basically have a cheese board sandwich.
