Rio Ferdinand has called for Manchester United’s interim manager, Ralph Rangnick, to be banned from his media duties.
The 63-year-old German coach has only one match left, which has turned into a miserable period at Old Trafford.
Despite the horrific displays on the pitch, Rangnick has been an open book during his interviews by revealing everything he feels is wrong with the club.
He claimed that after setting some front goals, he was told there were no players available and also criticized his current team.
Some United fans have taken Rangnick’s approach well – but former defender Ferdinand says he has gone too far.
He believes the Old Trafford chiefs, who appointed Ajax chief Eric Ten Hag to take over this summer, should step in now and prevent him from any further media outings.

Ferdinand told him Atmosphere with FIVE on YouTube: “I don’t agree with the way he airs dirty laundry in public while it’s still in the hot seat, while it’s still there.
“It’s nice sometimes for the fans, you want to get a little insight, but there’s information that it brings out [that he shouldn’t be].
“You’re still on the job, man, relax, and respect those around you.
“Make waves behind the scenes. Push and pull and compete for positions and results behind the scenes with people.”

Rangnick could only watch one in disbelief as they crushed Brighton United 4-0 on Saturday.
This ensures that the Red Devils cannot finish above a sixth in this period – something Ferdinand insists the coach must take responsibility for.
He added, “I’ve said this for two weeks now, he’s saying a lot of things to almost distance himself from responsibility.
“But he has to take some responsibility that the team has gotten worse since he’s been there.”
