A satirical, adventure-filled trailer has been released to sound the alarm for the first time ever approaching Orville: New Horizons Which will make its way to Hulu on June 2. All your old favorites are back with a new story thrown here and there bringing fans a three-year story in the making. It is picked up sometime after the second and final season of Seth MacFarlane-In the series, we will discover new highs and lows along with the crew of an honorary spacecraft.
The first look trailer reveals Orville still crumbling through space in his quest for greatness. Things have changed, but even more so, not with the ship’s chief officer, Ed Mercer (McFarlane) giving sensational speeches that seem to tear up something we’ve heard before… Boundaries are tested and walks of life are questioned who they or what they really are Where the characters collide on the ship. Basically, the series, which serves as a parody and tribute to shows like Star Trek, promises to bring new adventures and deeper relationships to the fore while sticking to the comedic undertones that earned him such a strong following in the first place. While the show began as a broadcast, the new season seems to blend the same humor with a distinct dose of sincerity.
After the original show was canceled in 2019, there was a lot of hype about bringing it back, and streaming platform Hulu responded to the call.
