Sony has confirmed that the God of War series is running on Amazon Prime and that Horizon Zero Dawn is being adapted for TV by Netflix.
Game mods for TV and movies are growing in popularity, and there are several projects in the works right now that are adapting the very popular game franchises. Sony just confirmed it Horizon Zero Dawn And God of War Join the ranks of future adaptations. These announcements were made as part of an investor briefing for the company and have already become a talking point among fans.
talks God of War It’s been adapting for TV for a while now, and news broke in March that Amazon was in talks with Sony for the rights to a live TV series. The deal appears to have solidified in the past couple of months, and the series is now officially in production for Amazon Prime as confirmed by Sony Interactive Entertainment President Jim Ryan. The cast and crew have yet to be announced, but fans are already theorizing about who could play the former Greek god of war Kratos.
the first God of War The game was released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2, but fans expect the upcoming series to focus on the Scandinavian era that began with the 2018 reboot of the same name. The game focuses on Kratos and his son Atreus as they attempt to rebuild their lives in Scandinavia as they go on a journey to spread his wife’s ashes to the highest peak of the Nine Realms. Atreus appears unaware of Kratos’ past and his powers, and the two encounter several obstacles along the way. The God of War The game is one of the most popular Sony games to date and has sold more than 19.5 million copies worldwide.
Horizon Zero Dawn It is another major Sony franchise and has sold more than 20 million copies worldwide. What’s interesting is that this adaptation is in production at Netflix, and fans are wondering why the two series are on two different streaming platforms. However, it’s no surprise that Sony is considering both of these game franchises for adaptation, as they have a very large following of fans at this point. Getting these fans to fit in with the series wouldn’t be a difficult task.
It has not yet been confirmed whether both mods will follow the plot in games, and it remains to be seen which direction the production studio will go. Horizon Zero Dawn Released in 2017, it follows protagonist Aloy as she sets out on a journey to find answers about her past in a world overtaken by machines. Fans are urging Sony to bring in Florence Pugh or Rose Leslie to film Alloy’s live version.
