It appears that the MCU has slowly replaced the original hero, Iron Man. But this could spell disaster for the mysterious Master of Arts Doctor Strange.
Dr. Gharib slowly being replaced Iron Man In the MCU, but this could spell disaster for the master of the mysterious arts. During MCU stages 1-3, the franchise’s original hero Tony Stark is developed perhaps more than any other character, leading to his emotional sacrifice at the end Avengers: Endgame. However, during Phase 4, with Stark now gone, it was Stephen Strange who would step into his role, leading to speculation about how similar these two characters really were.
Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) facilitated the emergence of the MCU again Iron Man, Giving the audience a strong origin story and raising the character’s popular culture status tremendously. Throughout MCU stages 1-3, Stark was given a great deal of character development, going from an arrogant narcissist to a good family man who was willing to sacrifice himself to save the entire universe. Over the 11 years between Iron Man And the game overAnd the Stark became a mentor to many of the new members of the Avengers, but he was also famous for creating several villains who fought himself and the Avengers on various projects. After his sacrifice in the last moments of Phase 3, there was a vacancy in the MCU for a leader.
Tony Stark’s first movie helped lay the groundwork for upcoming origin stories, as Marvel created a predictable formula that was repeated throughout the franchise. This is especially evident in Dr. Gharib, in which the conceited, cynical, wealthy and successful Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is presented in much the same way as Stark. Both find themselves in life-threatening situations that cause them to change their behavior and become superheroes. It is clear from Strange’s first moments on screen that his character and life story emulate Tony. This is the theme that continues throughout the Strange character’s arc, with this being particularly developed during MCU Phase 4 projects such as Spider-Man: There is no room for home And the Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madness. If those similarities persist, it could mean that Strange is heading towards his sacrifice in the MCU.
Why replacing Iron Man would be bad for Doctor Strange
Both Stark and String served as mentors to the younger heroes. Iron Man’s most notable intern was Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man (Tom Holland), while Doctor Strange also assisted Parker with No going back homeas well as taking the multi-planetary traveler America Chavez (Zochitel Gomez) under his wing while The multiverse of madness. Both characters seem to have more similarities than differences, as Marvel appears to have replaced the Iron Man Void with Doctor Strange. Despite their powerful guiding abilities, both heroes have created their enemies. Stark creates infamous villains, including Whiplash, Aldrich Killian, and Ultron, while helping Doctor Strange isolate Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) in his MCU debut, as well as unleash multiple Spider-Man villains and provoke the Crimson Witch during MCU Stage 4 Movies.
The similarities between these characters may indicate that Strange met his sudden demise in the coming years. While Marvel’s trademark formula allows viewers to know exactly what to expect when they go to watch a file MCU A movie, it comes with an incredible amount of predictability that may be starting to get stale. There’s currently no indication that the Doctor Strange story is coming to an end, so hopefully it will take his superhero career many more years to move away from the MCU’s Iron Man story. However, if Marvel continues with Iron Man The formula can, unfortunately, determine the end Dr. Gharib.
