Disney and Marvel Games Show Collection on September 9

Expect “new shows” for Disney Dreamlight Valley, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Disney and Marvel will be giving a show next month. Just announced today, the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase will provide fans with updates on upcoming games, new content for existing games, and maybe a few surprises as well.

The Disney & Marvel Games Showcase will take place on September 9 at 1 PM PT (4 PM ET). It will be broadcast live from D23 Expo 2022, where host Blessing Adeoye Jr. will speak. From the Premier stage. Disney’s press release also promised “a sneak peek at Skydance New Media’s upcoming Marvel game,” which was announced last year. All we know is that it will be a three-player game with a “completely original story and take on the Marvel universe.” Star Wars Battlefront 2 voice actress Janina Gavankar will also be featured in an unreleased role.

It’s interesting that we’re still getting updates on two of the most notable delays on the Disney slate. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was recently pushed back to Ubisoft’s fiscal year 2023/2024, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns was pushed back indefinitely just last week. Pandora’s borders in particular were noted to be in a “rough shape,” according to insider Jeff Grob.

The Disney stream will come just three days after the release of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s early access, so we can expect a good portion of the show to be dedicated to upcoming content for Disney’s latest mobile title. And we can potentially expect the same for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which has been adding content steadily since its release in April.
