Josh Perry will be launching the new Tire Pros chart.

Number 8 will get a bright, new look for the Xfinity Series trip to Watkins Glen International. Josh Perry and Tyre Bros will partner with the Gary Sinnis Foundation and the ATD Summer Champions Scholarship Campaign.

JRM issued a press release Announcing the news. The #8 Chevrolet Camaro will feature a bright design bearing the logos of the Gary Sinise Foundation, Tire Pros, and Summer of Heroes Campaign, which “support U.S. Forces, veterans, first responders, and their families.”

“It’s an honor to have the Gary Sinise Foundation on this #8 car,” Perry said in a press release. “What the Foundation has been able to do for veterans, first responders and their families has made a huge impact. We hope we can help Tire Pros and ATD reach their fundraising goal and celebrate this car at Victory Lane.”

Berry will be showing this special chart during two separate events. She will make her debut during the trip to Watkins Glen International before returning to racing at Daytona International Speedway.

The Summer of Heroes campaign, which raised $1 million for the Gary Sinise Foundation’s mental health programs in 2021, will run through August 31. Those interested in supporting the campaign can achieve Donations on the Tire Pros website.

Perry will premiere his first series, Watkins Glenn

Josh Perry

GTJosh Perry will make his debut at Watkins Glen International.

August 20 will see Berry race the sixth road in the Xfinity Series. Although it would be his first time facing Watkins Glen International for eighth, a track that has been part of the Xfinity Series since 1991 when Terry Labonte won the opening race.

Perry struggled for strong finishes in his limited time on the road tracks. He has five starts with three in the top 10 and two in the top five. This race includes a fourth place finish at the Portland International Raceway and a third place finish at Rode America.

While Perry has no previous experience at Watkins Glen International in the Xfinity Series, he walked the track in a different vehicle. He joined Rackley WAR in racing the Camping World Truck Series on the road course in 2021, finishing 11th in a #25 Chevrolet Silverado.

Perry is in a strong position heading into the playoffs

The trip to Watkins Glen is one of the five remaining races in the Xfinity Series regular season. It will be one of the few opportunities for Berry and Team #8 to stock up on points before the start of Round 12 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Berry is currently in a strong position. He racked up two wins in 2022 along with a total of 12 games in the top ten and nine top five spots. The NASCAR standings stand out as the fifth seed to enter the playoffs, putting him well above the cut-off streak during the opening round.

If Perry can avoid accidents and maintain consistency during the opening round, he should be able to sail into the quarter-finals for the first time in his career. Although there are always concerns about the trip to the Talladega Superspeedway and the inevitable warnings.
