The Jaguar The I-Pace comes with the practicality expected of an all-electric crossover, but how far does this electric vehicle deliver? Since driving range is a prominent factor that buyers wanting electric models consider, it’s worth considering the capabilities of the I-Pace’s range. Separately, it is worth noting that the Jaguar I-Pace is the first-ever electric model to come from a traditional luxury car manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover. The Jaguar EV was first shown to guests at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show. At the time, it was in the concept stage. Delivery of the crossover to North America was announced in March 2018, followed in October of the same year. The Jaguar I-Pace is available for 2019-2022 models, except for the 2021 model.
Since the I-Pace joined the electric vehicle market, the world has welcomed a wave of new electric vehicle releases from traditional gasoline model makers. With the increasing demand for electric vehicles along with climate change, it is becoming increasingly important for people to turn to energy-efficient options for mobility. With this in mind, most automakers now offer electric vehicles that aim to outdo each other in terms of features and practicality. Today, the Jaguar I-Pace competes with luxury SUVs such as the Audi e-tron, Genesis GV60 and R1S from fast-rising automaker, Rivian.
Range anxiety is a sensation that has become popular thanks to the large influx of electric vehicles in the market. However, there are charging stations, and more need to be built if the United States is to want more people to consider switching to electric cars. The federal government has made plans to build more stations, thus reducing the burden on existing stations. Starting at $71,050 (destination fee included) and just one trim (HSE), expect a lot from the I-Pace, including the range. Although the Rivian R1S (316 miles) and Genesis GV60 (248 miles) offer more miles, the Jaguar The I-Pace’s range (estimated at 246 miles by the Environmental Protection Agency) should also appeal to buyers. When equipped with 22-inch tires and wheels, owners should expect range to drop to around 217 miles.
What Buyers Get From Jaguar I-Pace
Despite having an electric powertrain, Jaguar ensures the I-Pace retains the automaker’s exotic design feel. For example, the seats come in different materials and shapes, with optional heating and cooling also available. In addition, the I-Pace features a proprietary nano-ionization innovation that detects and removes airborne allergens such as dust and pollen. Doing so maintains the health and comfort of the driver and passengers.
The I-Pace also comes with Jaguar’s Pivi Pro infotainment technology which allows drivers to access critical details such as navigation, media and contacts with a single tap. Apple Carplay and Android Auto systems are also supported, enabling seamless integration between users and their smartphones. In addition, the Jaguar The EV has a stolen vehicle locator, which allows authorities to quickly locate and recover a vehicle if it is reported stolen or lost.
