Spider-Man is finally on PC and it’s streaming with mods as fans add all the suits they can think of, while the Mass Effect novels still top the charts all these years after.
It’s been seven days packed with mods, whether you’re a Half-Life fan or still crunching Cyberpunk 2077, so here are the highlights meticulously collected for you.
Spider-Man mods add a TASM 2 suit and the ultimate No Way home outfit
We got a bunch of MCU Spider-Man suits, a Raimi outfit, and even a TASM getup in Marvel’s Spider-Man, but that left two fan favorites like the ultimate No Way Home outfit and a TASM 2 look. So fashion stepped in and gave them life — now you can Swing around New York City in Andrew Garfield’s signature look, complete with big white eyes and a vibrant suit that just pops against the iconic city. Or you can dress up in Tom Holland’s home-knit clothes from the last scenes of No Way Home.
Half-Life 2 gives you control of a joint squad
The original Half-Life was built by Gearbox with three expansions, letting you take on the role of the Black Mesa security team, the HECU that has overrun the facility to clean up witnesses, and other scientists dealing with the outbreak. Modders have since tried to give the same treatment to Half-Life 2, with Entropy: Zero 2 continuing the story of Aiden Walker who has now joined forces with the Overwatch Elite to hunt down Judith Mosman. It’s a break from the usual silent protagonist, following in Alex’s footsteps, and now giving Walker the voice.
Cyberpunk 2077 Mod allows you to keep stolen cars
If you hack a car in Cyberpunk 2077, you can’t keep it. What goes on behind the scenes, you definitely didn’t ask? Well, maybe the V brought it back out of human decency, maybe it was pulled away, or maybe they just made it into an accident. Whatever the case, that car is not yours anymore. Until now. The new mod allows you to keep all the games you “borrow”, and even provides an explanation of in-game knowledge. V appears to have the NCPD’s authority to “legally fit” vehicles. This is useful.
Mass Effect 3 Mod adds the romance of the Joker with new audio dialogue and Cutscenes
Lots of Mass Effect’s characters are romantic, but modders have been working hard for years to expand on BioWare ideas and even bring back cut concepts like deleted LGBTQ+ options. And now the mods are back again with a full-length Joker track, allowing you to date the Normandy pilot long after. With the amount of time Shepard and Joker spend together, it’s fitting that they find a common bond.
This Dragon Age Modder is character modeling for asset investigation
Finally, a designer is working hard to make Origins less hideous. Much like older RPGs, their NPCs aren’t the best looking, but there are some perfectly good exemplars of the same characters to be found in later games, so Lihunnykt is repurposing them to give Origins a real facelift. Linked to other remake projects, you can make your first Dragon Age look more modern.
