What a run
The 27-year-old was brought in as an arm to training camp and nothing more.
With Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco and Mike White in the middle room everything seemed safe ahead of the 2022 season.
However, everything changed after a former BYU passer fell down with a non-contact injury during the Philadelphia Eagles season opener.
Flacco was inactive for the game meaning that only two quarterbacks were white and some kids named Streveler.
In the final quarter of the game, he was never supposed to be involved in the former Canadian Football League champion turned wild.
Strveler had never received any team representatives prior to an Eagles game, but he was knocked out anyway. He immediately caught the attention of the coaching staff and got more reps in practice.
Streveler then put in a great performance again as he staged a last-second campaign to win the game against the Atlanta Falcons.
As the pre-season drew to a close, it seemed unclear if Streweller would get any time to play considering coach Robert Saleh considered the game a “formal rehearsal” before the season.
However, Streveler took to the field and achieved it for an astonishing third time.
After the match, Saleh described it as one of the best pre-season in football history. Despite this, Strveler could not overcome the circumstances of his situation.
Conor J Rogers He said it well On Twitter, the former CFL producer “literally did everything” in his power to make the team. It proved not enough and Rogers argued that it should be for someone else.
All in all, Strveler delivered the delivery when he called Through three pre-season games:
- 24 out of 33 (72% completion rate)
- 177 passing yards for 5 total touchdowns
- Nine holds 71 yards (7.88 yards per carry)
