The best hooded game characters

There are many ways a video game character can improve their appearance. For example, they can wear some elegant shades or wear a shiny suit of armor. However, one of the simplest ways a character can look good is by wearing a hood. For some reason, headgear seems to make every character look better.

However, it is not always just a choice of style. Some individuals wear head coverings to make them difficult to notice, while for others, it adds to their mysterious personalities. Regardless of their reason for choosing this particular item of clothing, the following personalities are the best people to wear one.

The Gamer video today

8 Merchant (Resident Evil 4)

The role of Resident Evil 4’s Merchant is very simple as it acts as a shop for protagonist Leon Kennedy. He is not the deepest character, but he is an unforgettable one. This is partly because of his unique voice and way of saying things.

His appearance is also creative. With his black headdress and purple face covering, he obviously wanted to hide his identity. And it works, because you never know anything about this guy throughout the game. This puzzle is what makes the character so creative.

7 Wrench (Watch Dogs Series)

Admittedly, the hood isn’t the sexiest part of Wrench’s outfit in Watch Dogs games. The LED visor across his eyes is something everyone notices right away. However, the hood helps hold the outfit together.

Wrench is not only an elegant character, he is also a very entertaining character. Arguably the best character in the Watch Dogs series, the guy is quite funny. Much of his humor comes from his hyper-exciting nature and unbridled demeanor. And he’s much friendlier than you’d expect from a guy who constantly hides his face.

6 Garrett (The Thief Series)

Since Thief is primarily a first-person series, you won’t see much of Garrett’s protagonist. However, every time you catch a glimpse of him – mainly in promotional materials – he wears a headscarf. It’s a good choice for his field of work, as he spends his days crawling around buildings and stealing things. The hood helps conceal his identity and allows him to hide better in the shade.

Garrett is not your typical video game hero. In fact, it is more than anti-hero. A man is kind-hearted, but his actions are usually not the most noble. He is a criminal after all. At least he avoids taking from the poor and does not kill people.

5 The Scarecrow (Batman Arkham Series)

There have been several different adaptations of the comic character known as the Scarecrow. One of the Batman Arkham series in general wears a hood. It’s a good look for a ruthless villain. More than that, it makes him appear more mysterious and helps hide some of his human features. This lends itself to his purpose of striking fear into the hearts of everyone he encounters.

The character is compelling throughout the Arkham series, as the mind games he plays with Batman are fantastic. In fact, outside of The Joker, he might be the best villain in the series.

4 Corfu Atano (Dishonored Series)

You can play through the original Dishonored game without ever knowing what Corvo Attano looks like, as the game uses a first person point of view. Even when you see it in Dishonored 2, you don’t get the proper experience because it’s not in full bloom.

You can only see it in all its glory through promotional materials. And it turns out he looks great because he has such a great combination of mask and hood. His choice of technique helps him conceal his identity while performing deadly acts.

3 Scorpion (Mortal Kombat series)

Since Mortal Kombat has been around since the ’90s, it’s no surprise that many of its regular cast have gone through a lot of design changes over the years. Scorpio is no different. He always kept the yellow and black color scheme, but his clothes often changed.

It seems the guy has never been a fan of showing off his hair. In the early games, he wore a piece of clothing that could be considered a head covering, but that also looked like a skull cap. In recent years, the hood has become more specific. However, that didn’t change his personality, as he’s still a rude badass.

2 Tali’Zorah (Mass Effect Series)

One of the best parts about Mass Effect games is all the fun companions you take on missions. Tally is definitely among the best of them all. The talented engineer is funny, quirky, and extremely likable throughout the series. She also has a good arc that sees her pass from a close baby to one of the most important individuals in her species.

Most importantly, throughout her adventures she wore a beautiful headdress. This is part of the luxury suits that Quarians are forced to exercise for health reasons. Therefore, it is a pity to have to wear it, but at least it looks good.

1 Ezio Auditore (Assassin’s Creed series)

There is no series more synonymous with compelling characters than Assassin’s Creed. Almost every hero in the series wears a hood due to it being the favorite outfit of the Assassin Order. The most famous of these is Ezio Auditore, who has appeared in several entries.

He wears some amazing robes throughout his games, and they all feature a nice looking hoodie. The purpose of the hood is to hide the man’s face, so that he can perform his murderous duties without attracting too much attention. Combined with a good dress sense, Ezio is a charming, intelligent and noble character who will always be fondly remembered.
