Odoka suspended throughout the 2022-23 season

The Celtics announced the one-year ban of coach Aim Odoka on Thursday, a day after Athletic player Shams Charania announced that Odoka had an intimate relationship with a Celtics employee. It’s an earth-shattering event for a team that came through two games of the NBA title last season.

We may not have heard the last of this story. The situation remains a mystery, but details emerged late Thursday that while the relationship began consensual, the woman was recently accused of “make unsolicited comments” towards her, which led to an internal review.
