The trailer for The Last of Us HBO series teases Ellie and Joel’s epic journey

Although we’ve had glimpses of footage from The Last of Us on HBO, this is the first time the network has revealed a full trailer. Emulating the immersive and terrifying atmosphere that made the franchise one of the most iconic films of all time, HBO will bring the stunning and unforgettable narrative that has made its way into the hearts of millions around the world straight to the small screen.

The trailer was initially jammed just two days ago (September 24, 2022) by The Last of Us co-creator Neil Druckman, who noted that TLOU Day was two days away. Craig Mazen, creator and writer of the HBO show, responded with GIFs of Ellie. This led fans to speculate that they would be treated to a full first look at the show as TLOU Day kicked off. September 26 marks the day of the virus outbreak in the world of The Last of Us. It used to be celebrated as Outbreak Day, but after the very real COVID-19 pandemic, the nickname was changed to The Last of Us Day or TLOU Day.

The Last of Us will premiere on HBO and HBO Max sometime in 2023.

In other news, the release window for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PC has been revealed, and Steam Deck production is ramping up again, but Canada hit a snag.
