Mitchell Robinson of the New York Knicks.
The New York Knicks season is approaching, and Content Day takes place on September 26, one of the first times that team members have spoken to the media about their goals and expectations for this season.
In the case of starting center Mitchell Robinson, he listed two things to work on: bad trouble and conditioning.
Easier said than done of course, but Robinson has had problems with these two things in the past. If he wanted to be the defensive anchor that he could evolve at, he would need to stay on the ground for much longer.
he is Details of his attack plan To Monica McNutt of MSG Network.
Robinson wants to be on Earth
There are already predictions being made that Robinson could make the All-Defensive team jump, but in order to do so, he has to be on the ground.
Maybe that’s why he made it one of his priorities this year.
“Conditioning and staying out of critical problems,” he replied after being asked what he would be working on this year.
McNutt asked him the secret to staying out of fatal problems, and he had a very simple answer to that.
“Just raise your hands.”
She then goes on to say he takes pride in blocking his shot, but she asks him what steps he’ll take to stop people from making him miss.
“Right now, we’re working on discipline,” he said. “Once I get that under control, I’ll be fine.”
Easier said than done, and these are the problems that have plagued Robinson throughout his career, but perhaps that’s when he pulls it all together.
He’s entering the season healthy and, if he can stay that way, he could find himself on a defensive side at the end of the season.
Big things are coming to the Knicks
Media Day is very exciting for many teams because it marks the start of a new season and everyone starts on an equal footing.
Excitement is high, and if the season starts the same way it did last season for the Knicks, the fan base will be very involved.
It was the big signature of the offseason Galen Bronsonand will start with Knicks as the main bodyguard, bringing an end to the eras of Kimba Walker and Alec Burks.
No big deal happened with Donovan Mitchell, but that doesn’t mean the end of the world. Maintaining a youthful core and all draft picks gives the team more flexibility to move forward in the future.
With Robinson and RJ Barrett signing the extensions, a good squad formation is in place. They’ll need a few things to collect, especially another jump for Barrett and Robinson, but a return to Julius Randle’s All-Star form will also be important.
All of this has a chance of happening, but fans will have to wait until the season starts to see if they can make it happen.
