Alex Bowman will miss the Cup Series race at Talladega Superspeedway.

Hendrik Motorsports driver Alex Bowman has made an important announcement. He will miss the Cup Series race at the Talladega Superspeedway due to concussion-like symptoms.

The driver of car number 48 announced the news on September 29. He released a statement on social media and confirmed that he would not participate in the elimination race after meeting with his doctors in Charlotte. Noah Gragson will be driving the #48 Chevrolet as his replacement.

“After undergoing a medical evaluation for concussion-like symptoms, I will not be driving the #48 Chevrolet Ally in Talladega,” Bowman wrote. “I am disappointed but I know my health is the number one priority. I am committed to following all medical guidelines to make sure I can return to competition as soon as possible.”
