Those who wish to attend the show live in person will need to wait until ticket sales become available on November 1, 2022 at 9:00 AM. They will be for sale on the official website at axs.com, but since speculators are likely to steal some of the available pool, you’ll need to be prepared to buy tickets at least five minutes before this happens. Even if you are not able to score a ticket, the event will be streamed live on 40 platforms including YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, TikTok and Facebook.

It’s not clear what the ticket price will be, but fans will be able to purchase a Lexus Box rental for the event which includes access to VIP entrance, a VIP lounge, a private bar and of course a private box to watch the show. California and Los Angeles County have raised requirements for indoor mega events, allowing guests with tickets to attend without needing proof of vaccination or a negative covid-19 test.

As usual, this year’s Game Awards will allow viewers to “celebrate the best and see what’s next” in the video game industry. It will include performances by The Game Awards Orchestra and others to be announced at a later time.

Last year at the Game Awards, It Takes Two won Game of the Year, while Deathloop won Best Game Direction and Returnal Best Action Game. This year’s nominees haven’t been announced yet, but they likely include Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, The Quarry, and the upcoming God of War: Ragnarok.

In other news, Google Stadia has been shut down with developers given no warning, and the massive drop in MultiVersus players is worrying fans.
