Manchester City star Jack Grealish unhappy about his ‘Toy Story’ resemblance to FIFA 23

The England international’s FIFA model is very similar to the Master from Toy Story.

FIFA 23, the final game in the EA series under the FIFA banner, was launched last week. There is no doubt that it will quickly become one of the best-selling games of the year, as almost every installment in the series does. Jack Grealish probably won’t get a copy, as the Manchester City star isn’t happy with the way he looks inside the game.

The problem that athletes usually encounter when including them in games based on the sport they play is the rating attached. Grealish has no problem with that. The virtual reshaping of his face is the reason the England international had trouble with FIFA 23. So much so that he called the team behind the game, claiming they made him look like a character from Toy Story.

Grealish said via B/R Football (Thanks, sporf). While the character from the movie Pixar Grealish compares him to himself in FIFA the player hasn’t revealed it, it’s clear that he’s referring to Sid. When the two images are viewed side by side, you can definitely see the similarity.

Definitely not the best Toy Story character to look like. If EA had given the Grealsih Buzz Lightyear’s good sculpted look, it probably wouldn’t have been a problem. As for why Grealish looks like Sid, you have to ask EA. While some players’ faces have been scanned for games, the studio doesn’t have time to reach everyone. The above may be proof that EA hasn’t made it to Grealish’s house yet.

Hopefully that will change before the chain undergoes its biggest overhaul in nearly three decades. There has been a FIFA game every year since 1993, which means that 2023 will be the first time there has been no game in 30 years that the series will be renamed EA Sports FC. The FIFA president previously claimed that the games bearing the FIFA name would continue, but there was no word on who would develop and publish those games if that happens.
