Are the shiny Paradox Pokémon locked in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Paradox Pokémon are either future or past versions of many of the Pokémon in Scarlet & Violet’s Pokédex. You can pick them up in the zero area later in the game. But since there are so many locked shiny things in the game, from starters to NPC-trading Pokémon, you might be wondering if Paradox Pokémon are locked too. Let’s find out.

Can I search for Paradox Pokémon in the shiny Scarlet & Violet game?

Since Paradox Pokémon can be encountered naturally in the “wild”, they are Not a brilliant believer. There will always be a 1/4096 chance of seeing a Shiny Paradox Pokemon. You can even eat sandwiches outside the ground zero and keep the effects of the glamour-enhancing get-togethers when you enter.

Hunting will be much more difficult since they do not have any mass outbreaks. Thus, we recommend that you wait until you get the Shiny Charm before you try to hunt for the shiny Paradox Pokémon.

What shiny Pokemon is locked in scarlet and violet?

Of course, just because Paradox Pokémon aren’t unlocked shiny, doesn’t mean all Pokémon are there. Here is the list of unlocked Pokémon that are shiny in Crimson and Purple:

  • Starter Pokémon granted at the beginning of the game (but Fuecoco, Quaxlyl and Sprigatitio can be caught later)
  • Pokémon traded in the NPC
  • Titan Pokemon
  • The Four Treasures of Desolation (Ting Lu, Qin Bao, Wu Xin, and Qi Yu)
  • Boxart Legends (Koraidon and Miraidon)

Some of these shiny unlocked Pokemon are given away during events, either as prizes or a mystery gift. To claim it, open your menu and go to the Poké Portal.
