Wales vs Iran Live Streaming Updates: Lineups, Starting Time, Team News & Analysis

Another day, another round of drooling action.

After a 1-1 draw against the USA in their first FIFA World Cup match in 64 years, Wales will return to Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium on Friday to take on Iran.

The two teams have faced each other only once in men’s international football, with Wales winning 1-0 in a friendly match in 1978.

The referee is Mario Escobar. Guatemala entered the World Cup with plenty of tournament experience, having taken charge of the Gold Cup final in 2019. A year later, the man was in the middle of the CONCACAF Champions League final.

After the results of the opening round, this is a big match.

Wales would take a huge step forward with the win, but anything less than three points would see them need a result against England in their final group match to have any chance of a knockout.

Iran could be eliminated after only two matches with defeat (if England also beat the USA). However, a win for them would once again put them back in first place in the Round of 16.
