I prefer the Gholdengo build for Tera raids in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Gholdengo is a Steel/Ghost type Pokemon first introduced in Paldea. Evolved from Gimmighoul after collecting 999 Gimmighoul Coins and leveling up a Pokémon once. This Pokemon also has insane attack and defense stats, which makes it good for PvP and Tera Raids. In this article, let’s talk about the best Gholdengo build for Tera Raids in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

Best moves to grant Gholdengo for Tera Raids

Gholdengo must have the following moves:

  • Bad plot (learned at level 63)
  • let it rain
  • shadow ball
  • Restoration (TM)

Hypertrain Gholdengo HP And the Sp. attacks Stats to help him live longer and hit more. Then, take advantage of EVs for the same stats with HP Ups and Calciums you can buy at Chansey Supply in Mesagoza. You can also make him catch his Sp. Attack boosting items such as Life Orb and Wise Glasses for a small boost to strength. The perfect nature of the Tera Raid Gholdengo is decent.

A typical Tera Raid spin cycle with Gholdengo first involves the use of bad plot Three times to polish Sp. attacks. Then use Make it Rain to deal devastating damage. If the Pokémon is weak for Ghost moves, you can use the Shadow Ball instead.

Since it will take some time to create Gholdengo’s Sp. Attack dexterity, use Recover when HP drops to half. Stat buffs disappear when a Pokémon faints in Terra Rides. Also, keep in mind the moments when Tera Pokémon clean up the party buffs. This includes the rewards you get from the Nasty Plot, so you’ll have to set up Gholdengo again.

Gholdengo can only do four-star and some five-star raids, as long as the opponent doesn’t have a high Sp. Defense like Plessy. However, he will need a support Pokémon with less moves than Sp. Defense (such as Umbreon with Screech) to counter six-star raids.
