Bayern Munich president Serge Gnabry described him as an “amateur” during his modeling trip

Bayern Munich sporting director Serge Gnabry has been described as an “amateur” after he was spotted at Paris Fashion Week between matches.

The German club, which is four points clear of the Bundesliga lead, is yet to win in 2023 after three consecutive draws to start the new year.

And after he was sent off in the first half during Bayern’s 1-1 home draw with Cologne, Gnabry was criticized by the club’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic.

Gnabry was seen attending a fashion event in the French capital between the matches against Leipzig and Cologne, and posted pictures on social media, prompting the Bayern president to reveal his displeasure with the striker’s actions.

Salih Hamidic said in remarks reported by the German news agency d. B.

“That’s exactly what I don’t like. It’s not Bayern to mess around when you have a day off.

“The day off is supposed to be to rest yourself so you can move on to the next game.”

Off-field activities at the club came under the spotlight after captain and first choice goalkeeper Manuel Neuer fractured his leg during a skiing trip and was therefore ruled out for the rest of the season.

Asked about Gnabry, coach Julian Nagelsmann said: “I think a player can do whatever he wants in his spare time. Generally, as a normal business owner, you can’t tell your employees that they have to go to church on Sunday at 10, have lunch at 12 and sleep.” at 2 p.m.

“It is important for everyone to be able to organize their leisure time in such a way as to make them happy. But it should always be useful for his job.”

Bayern is next in action against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
