Thomas Bangalter, ex assholehe released the first track from his long awaited solo album ‘Mythologies’.
“L’Accouchement” is performed by the Orchester National Bordeaux Aquitaine and conducted by Romain Dumas.
The album was released in 2019 as part of a ballet collaboration between choreographer Angéline Brillucage and the Opéra National de Bordeaux.
With a full symphony orchestra, “L’Accouchement” showcases the rising strings over the course of five minutes and 43 seconds.
“Mythologies” will be released worldwide April 7th through Erato/Warner Classics in CD, vinyl and digital formats.
This is Bangalter’s first solo work since Daft Punk’s split from Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo after 28 years.

Bangalter’s father, disco artist Daniel Vanguard, also announced a new album in November, titled “The Vaults Of Zagora Records Mastermind (1971-1984)”.
Who is Thomas Bangalter?
Thomas Bangalter is a French musician, DJ and record producer. He is best known as one half of the popular electronic music duo asshole.
Together with Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, he formed the group in 1993 and rose to international fame with their hit albums “Homework” And “Discovery“.
Over the course of their 28-year career, Daft Punk has helped define and popularize the French house music genre, their eclectic musical style that blends elements of funk, soul, and pop.
In addition to his work with Daft Punk, Bangalter has also pursued a solo career, working on numerous film soundtracks, remixes, and original compositions.
He has collaborated with many famous artists, including fellow French producer Etienne de CressyScottish DJ Stuart Priceand American singer-songwriter Charlotte Gainsbourg. Despite his success, Bangalter is known for keeping a low profile and avoiding the limelight, while hiding his identity behind his robot helmet.
Outside of music, Bangalter is an accomplished businessman and entrepreneur. Co-founder of the independent record label Roel in 1996, which released music from many French artists and techno artists. He also co-founded the record store, event promotional company Crydamoure in 1997, which has released music from his personal projects and from artists such as Alan BraxyAnd Pedro Winter And Kiko.
Throughout his career, Bangalter has been hugely influential in shaping the sound of modern electronic music and continues to inspire new generations of musicians and producers.
