Carles Torras is responsible for both directing and co-writing The Paramedic. This is his sixth feature picture, and while I haven’t seen much of his previous work, I really hope he continues making films for us in the near future. We can only hope that he will continue to collaborate with Netflix, as this will allow us access to his filmography.

It is very likely that you will become somewhat restless while watching The Paramedic. Because of the actions the main character took, as well as the very poor feedback from others who were around him.
Having said that, I feel compelled to state that everything will work out in the end. One of the most satisfying conclusions to a story I’ve seen in recent memory is in “The Medic.” There are cases where a really strong conclusion can improve the whole thing. You will see!

The Medic Who Chased Me: A Plot
- Angel Hernandez, portrayed by Carlos Torras, is a member of the Emergency Medical Services and works as a paramedic. His girlfriend, Vanessa, is staying with him in the same apartment as him. The plot has covered Angel and his mysterious methods since the beginning of the story.
- His personality is characterized by indifference, and this is shown very rarely when it comes to patients to whom he provides first aid. When he is observed taking from patients, there is a suggestion in the narration that he is a kleptomaniac.
- Angel has imbued his living area with an air of control that layers layers of terror, and the combination of the two is obvious. When Vanessa is abused, she becomes submissive and frequently gives in to the demands of her tormentors. Angel gets into an accident, which leaves his legs unable to function properly as a result. Because of this, he is confined to his wheelchair.
- It is difficult for her to keep the household’s finances in tip-top shape as she pursues her dream of studying animal psychology and working as an intern for a veterinarian. Angel’s paranoia and his suspicions about Vanessa are symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
- Sympathetic to his predicament, Vanessa begins to feel remorse whenever she relishes the possibility of abandoning him. Angel’s head begins to flood with a variety of concepts, and eventually he comes to the conclusion that he must hack his lover’s cellphone.
- When Vanessa found out about his compulsive behavior, she immediately broke up with him and things moved on. Angel begins to follow her, trying to force her to return to them. As Angel is willing to go to any lengths for love, it begins to take the form of a selfish fixation.
- The narrative establishes some interesting plot points, but never takes advantage of their full potential. It doesn’t really tie up any of the loose ends. The kleptomaniac angle, which has the potential to be an interesting character curve but is never adequately explored, is a missed opportunity.
- There are certain situations that draw our attention in a particularly awkward direction, such as when the character steals purses from unconscious patients, but these don’t add anything to the tale in any way. It appears that the director was not interested in following this aspect, as evidenced by the fact that they left it unfinished. The characters only have one dimension, and the writing never provides the actors with an opportunity to develop their roles in a natural way.
- The story suffers from a great deal of mundane throughout. They stick to the tried-and-true formula of a standard, stereotypical suspense novel. Even with such plot holes and lack of originality in the story, the movie is surprisingly fun. Although you have a pretty good idea of what’s going to happen in the movie, it manages to avoid being dull and tedious.
- Mario Casas, who plays Angel, is in great shape and makes the most of the material he is given. Uses the material to its fullest potential. Deborah Francois provides solid support for the protagonist, bringing out the muted details of a partner living in a violent environment.
- The Paramedic is a half-hearted experience that doesn’t amount to an adequate harvest of insights. Despite the fact that it is by no means boring or worn out, the movie ultimately fails to achieve anything as it follows a formulaic story.
