Arsenal have announced their efforts to clamp down on bots ahead of the 2023/24 season

Arsenal have announced that they are working to clamp down on ticket-buying bots ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The club experienced a huge increase in demand for tickets, as bots buying tickets with the aim of reselling them was very problematic.

The club has now confirmed that it is working to resolve the issue, with membership accounts that have been singled out for suspicious activity suspended.

In a statement, the club said: “We will also ramp up our work and ongoing investment to clamp down on ticket merchandising to protect loyal fans at the match.

“We are aware that the demand for tickets has reached unprecedented levels, and we are working to combat the activities of bots and promoters.

This resulted in 100,00 suspected bots being banned from the ticket site in recent weeks.

“A large number of season tickets and membership accounts have also been banned due to suspicious promotion activity.”

Arsenal is up next in the game against Brentford on Saturday.
