There are a lot of basic equipment that you may need to buy in Hogsmeade, such as potion ingredients, broom upgrades, hairstyle change, and other bits and bobs for your journey. Unfortunately, most of these things will cost you some gold but don’t worry. We have a little trick that can help you get some gold as quickly as possible so that you can get everything you need in no time.
How to make money fast in Hogwarts Legacy
Although this is not a glitch in and of itself, it is one of the simplest ways to make money quickly. All you need is a bout of disappointment and get to Hogsmeade. After completing the main task of infiltrating the Restrictions section of the Library, you should have the spell you need. This spell is useful for sneaking past NPCs and opening enchanted eye chests. These chests hold the most money; Fortunately, they are scattered throughout Hogwarts Castle and Hogsmeade. Since Hogsmeade is a bit smaller than the castle, this is the easiest way to get all the money at once, and you can earn up to 6,000 gold if you find all the chests in the area.

The best way to do this is to head to Hogsmeade and cast the Revelio spell as often as possible. This will mark all nearby chests, even inside buildings, and help you locate them faster. All yellow marked items that appear are lootable chests. You will also be able to see some chest symbols on your compass.
Once you’ve located the Eye of the Chest, cast the Disappointment spell before walking into her line of sight. You will not be able to open it if the eye sees you, so it is important to make yourself invisible before approaching it. Once you are invisible, you can walk up and open the chest. Each chest gives you 500 gold, which is why finding them around Hogsmeade is the best way to earn some quickly.
Don’t forget that there are other ways you can make money helping out as well, such as selling equipment you no longer need. It’s a good idea to sell your non-magical primitive outfits for some extra gold, and don’t stop at Hogsmeade with those chests. There’s a lot around Hogwarts to find, too.
