Tunsil is entering his fifth year with the Texans, who acquired him from the Miami Dolphins in 2019. He has earned two of his three Pro Bowl selections since joining Houston.
In 2020, Tunsil signed a three-year extension with Houston worth $66 million, with $57.85 million guaranteed, making him the highest-paid player at the time.
His extension comes on a busy Sunday for the Texans after the team traded wide receiver Brandon Cox to the Dallas Cowboys earlier in the day.
Houston went 3-13-1 last season and holds the second-and-12th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft and is projected to select a second-choice quarterback.
