Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willie Adams walked out of Friday’s game against the San Francisco Giants after being hit in the dugout by a foul ball. Here’s what you need to know:

  • With Brewers hitter Brian Anderson on the plate in the bottom of the second inning, Swinge sent the ball out of play toward the Milwaukee dugout, striking out Adames.
  • The game stopped for a while. A few minutes later, Adames went to the clubhouse with members of the coaching staff.
  • Brice Turang entered the game in place of Adames.
  • In 2023 Adames slashed .205/.289/.384 with nine home runs and 27 RBI.
